It has been a while … literally, hence the title.
This piece has been sitting on my worktop for a few months as I didn’t consider it was “finished”. Less is more tells me that it has actually reached the “a ha!” moment.

Born and brought up in Taiwan, Shuya Cheng now lives in the outskirts of Bath in the U.K. She divides her time in her studio between creating abstract paintings, primarily in acrylic but utilising a wide range of techniques and multi-media, and using her sewing machine to explore patterns, shapes and structures found in the world around us through free-hand embroidery. Her inspiration comes from both Western and Eastern culture. The themes in her work vary but are rooted in her upbringing, culture and the transitions, personal and geographical, that she has experienced.
